  1. 11 Days Until Xc Racing At Erx!!

    Posted 6 Feb 2018

11 days until the Cor PowerSports xc races at ERX Motor Park on Feb 17!!

A lot of work and effort is going into this Cor PowerSports race at ERX Motor Park Feb 17!!

We will be onsite this coming Friday to finalize course route, 90% sure we will be able to make some variation of the full traditional cross country course we have planned; just some areas may need to be rerouted due to no snow but we will do all we can to have a great course!

Online registration is scheduled to close this Friday at 6 pm so get signed up today, all registered racers will receive an email with an event packet as there is many different aspects to this race than our normal events.

Registered racers WILL NOT pay a gate fee; fans, crew, & family members will be required to purchase a $10 event ticket.

We cannot thank everyone enough that has had a part in this event; Eurotech Auto Service and Northway Sports stepped up as primary event sponsors to help make this event happen; make sure to thank Seth and Dan for their support!!

  2. Xc Racing Is Coming To Erx!!

    Posted 8 Dec 2017

Been working on this for the past few months, still can't believe that cross country will be taking over the ERX Motor Park Feb 17 & 18!!

8+ mile course through the woods, fields, quarries, & to also include the TORC & SnoX tracks!!

Spread the word as this event is going to be a BLAST!!The 8-10 mile course which will include the snocross track area (track will be setup for XC), the TORC track, woods, fields, and many other types of terrain! We will have Saturday Night chapel open to racers, crew, & fans as well.

The race is open to anyone that would like to compete, as long as you have the required safety gear, we will have a class that will work for you. Vintage II class for example is open to 2003 model year and older sleds and also for this event we will offer two “Snocross Sled” specific classes. Snocross sleds run 1.75 lug tracks and smaller fuel cells compared to cross country prepped sleds so for this event we will run 2 classes that will race 16-20 miles, this gives those riders a place to give cross country a try without spending thousands of dollars converting their snocross specific sled. We also will be offering a SNOWBIKE class; these guys will run the same course as the sleds!!

Spectator tickets will be $10 for one day, $15 for two days, & kids 8 and under get in for free with a paid adult

Full event details will be out in the next few weeks, watch our website and social media for more race info on this event as well as our full 2018 race series at events:

  5. New Race Series Coming To The Midwest!!

    Posted 9 Jun 2015

After the success of the 2015 Midwest Extreme Snowmobile Challenge promoter Cor PowerSports announced last month that they were exploring expanding the Midwest Extreme Snowmobile Challenge for 2016. After finalizing the format for 2016 it was announced that they will be expanding the event into a series that will be called the Midwest Extreme Snowmobile Challenge (MESC) Triple Crown series. Cor PowerSports has been a cross country series promoter for the past 4 seasons and 2016 marks this 5th year so they wanted to do something big to celebrate that and this new Triple Crown series is a great way to cap off a great winter of racing and riding.

The MESC Triple Crown, scheduled to start at the conclusion of the 2016 cross country series in Mid-March, will consist of three spring race events: Terrain X, Hillclimb and Hill X.

Terrain X -- This new snowmobile racing format will take place on a course designed like an old-school motocross course but run entirely on a ski hill about 2-3 miles long. The event will feature a two-moto format with a combined finish for an overall winner. Moto’s will be timed +2 laps.

-- This repeat event will continue to follow the standard of hillclimb racing set by Rocky Mountain States HillClimb Association (RMSHA). The courses will be designed to have great flow, challenging obstacles and fun elevation changes.

Hill X -- Although this sport has been declining in popularity recently, it still has a huge following of racers in the Midwest who are looking for some good hillcross racing. Cor PowerSports will be taking some ideas used in the original hillcross series from years past, but it also plans to add a Midwest Extreme twist into the course design. Riders will face jumps, rhythm sections, turns, whoops, and possibly both downhill and uphill portions as well.

Here is the tentative schedule for the MESC Triple Crown:

Round 1: March 19-20, location: TBA
Round 2: April 2-3, location: TBA
Round 3: April 16-17, location: Lutsen Mountains, Lutsen, Minn.

Cor PowerSports is still finalizing what classes will be offered during the series, but there's sure to be something for everyone from junior riders to seasoned pro racers.
