Haven't gotten around to the addt'l 6 mph project yet,, but for those with stock SP500 sleds and no RPM varying mods performed, this may be of value to you ,,,,,

Recently my Right Hand Man (C-jr.) was browsing thru some catalogs where I work and noticed a few different springs for both the primary and the secondary that WILL ASSIST in a much quicker upshift with no other things being touched....

AC P/N: 0646-357 primary spring (black) 143-250 rate will allow nearly (if not exact) same rpms at engagement, but allow the rpms from about 100-150' off the line begin to stabilize in a lower range, allowing the engines true torque range to pull quicker shifting and add the mph's up a whole lot quicker,,

With a baseline testing of 63.0 mph in 300' (and it flattening out around the 150-200' mark) with the r's climbing to the 8k-8100 range, the result from just this spring should make a noticeable difference,,,

I am also ordering an aftmkt secondary spring to possibly assist this primary (if results do not 100% satisfy me) that should also pull some more rpm's down from mid-range to top speed (full shift out),,

I will keep you posted on results,, however we need this damn weather to cooperate!! :pulling-my-hair-out:

Although,,,,,,,,,, Grass drag testing on semi-frozen ground would allow the ultimate hookup!!! :trophy:

So,, results may come sooner than expected,,,,,,,,, :snowmobile:

Wow Jr's sled is right on up there with SP500

Considerably!! :eyes-poppin: As we just got confirmation today that our test facility is now a total of 1320' in length,, (shut down included),, leaving us with up to 800' of all out acceleration setup testing runs..... :trophy:

I still don`t think I ever made it the whol 300`. I knew I could stop it in time but I guess it was the thought i`d rather be safe than sorry. I just got a good launch during those runs.

The wiring will be coming down saturday morning possibly before work,, and then inspecting the field when its daylight to look for any obstructions.....

haha cool.

When you are talking about the 8.5 inch clutch off the 05 f7 or 06 xf7, I assume you are changing the weights and spring to the 500 specifications? Also are you changing the secondary with it or runing the stock 500 secondary? Being we got some snow here in north west minnesota I would like to test this setup if I can find the parts.
C-Note I wish you the best of health and speedy recovery, any info/ideas on this setup would be greatly appreciated, and I will post the results that I find as well.
