Just went today to see specialist about lump in my lower left abdomen region that has been there for over 12 yrs with no strange side effects (other than looking goofy and making jeans/shorts slightly snugger)

He said quite confidently that he believes based on yrs gone by with zero pain and no side effects that it is more than likely a benign (non-cancerous) tumor that may possibly be divided into 2 separate parts similar to a baseball to softball sized figure 8 by a mass of muscle growing around it and he said the cat scan will tell "just how deep" into me he'll have to go and possibly that maybe it's just a "fatty tissue growth" vs a tumor????

I may miss being on here for a few days immediately after the surgery, but will always be thinking of you guys here (all of ya's!!) B)

So do the site a favor and keep an eye on this place (policing) for John once a confirmed surgery date has been released (in a week or so hopefully)

Thanks,, Rusty

So, you should be back up and ready before the snow starts to fly, right? Sounds like this minor set-back might just help minimize the cronic throttle itch!

Good luck! I had surgery in May for my heart and everything went well. I expect this will be a semi-simple procedure? Where were you going for this to be done?

It's gonna work out just fine man. I know the "scare" of something like this (and you know I do) and had to go through several Dr's and a bunch of tests for cancer concerns over a period of about a month. It's a little stressful for sure. In the end, I lucked out and so will you. It just ain't our time yet bro. If you need any help, let me know. Just tell the Doc you have a high pain threshold and you'd prefer respectable pain meds that actually work. Then just kick back and enjoy those few days. :D Again , if I can help, you know how to reach me. B)
