I was just listening to the live radio feed.

Arctic Insider John Sandberg #7 is out. Didn't hear any details. 31st racer "out" for the day.

Dang.

Only 8 finishers, which is too bad. I saw one guy absolutely buried in cattails. Tough temps today, and the route looked pretty beat up in places. Kudos to those that ran - I'm sure there will be many more next year! (Wanted - race prepped ElTigre CC) :)

Not much help here...
1-3 are all CC ElTigres
4 is a Polaris TXL

Don't know the rest off hand... I'm looking for a list of all the entrants. If I find it, I'll post it.
Where I was camped out, saw a lot of Polaris sleds... mainly TXLs. With the majority of the class not finishing, I would love to hear what failed on these sleds - whatever the brand.

Well, with that list it certainly proves there was a lot of interest in that class, even if 2/3 of them did DNS/DNF. Can't wait to hear the stories about it here next week. They all deserve a standing ovation for even wanting to ride that old iron again. As cool as it may look, I would NOT want to subject myself to those old sleds again at race speed. I still need my back to work every day :D

Darn right - I was thinking it would be a great accomplishment to just finish the race on a leafer.

I would need to get into a LOT better shape before I tried it, that's for sure.

So would I. Too "portly" to be charging for hours on end. I bet there is going to be some serious print for those guys and their efforts. I'm not quite 50 yrs old yet and those guys have once again become inspiration to many. I can't imagine doing that when pushing 60 yrs of age, let alone on sleds that are 30 yrs old!! Amazing really!
